It's best to switch your period bathers every 6-8 hours (keep in mind, this may be more regularly if you have a very heavy flow). This makes them perfect for a day at the beach or pool 🌞

Please make sure to regularly wash your period swimwear, and to ensure that you rinse them before machine washing.

For the most hygienic results, we recommend the following washing steps:

1. Pre-rinse using cold water

2. Wash in temperatures under 30°

4. Hang dry

How Do They Work?

AuntFlo swimwear is designed with a built-in absorbent gusset that incorporates four distinct layers for optimal protection.

The top layer is breathable and soft, providing a comfortable feel against your skin. The second two layers are highly absorbent and moisture-wicking, capable of holding up to the equivalent of three tampons worth of blood. The outer fourth layer is water-repellent, preventing water from seeping into the gusset and safeguarding against leaks.

While AuntFlo swimwear is suitable for swimming during your period without any extra protection, we recommend using a menstrual cup/tampon or disk for extra protection on heavy flow days.

Sizing

We recommend measuring yourself, and not going by your standard Aussie size. Each style and pair will vary, so please check this if ordering multiple styles.

Wrong Size?

Uh oh, you've grabbed the wrong size...

Unfortunately, due to AuntFlo products being labelled as Sanitary products, we are not able to switch these over for you. You will need to keep these.

Returned sanitary products cannot be resold, despite claims of them being unused, unworn, and unwashed. This is to maintain and uphold strict hygiene, health, and safety standards to protect our customers and warehouse staff.After all, we’re not only here for the planet, but also for your health!

Do I Wear Them On Their Own?

Depending on your flow, and the absorbency level of the swimwear you have chosen, you can wear our bathers on their own, or with some added protection.

Take some time to figure out what works best for you! Every period is a unique one.

I Am Worried I Will Leak...

If you're feeling a little nervy about wearing these in the water for the first time, we suggest wearing them on your lighter flow days. This will help you gain a better idea of how it feels free-bleeding into these babies.

You can also wear a tampon or cup/disk with your swimwear as backup if you need some extra protection on your heavier days!
